Despite it saying freezer safe, this actually broke for me with ice cream. The ice cream sat in the cup for about 5 minutes, not in the freezer. When I went to pick up the spoon that was in the ice cream already, it cracked perfectly to whatever part the ice cream touched.

Also if you look at the recent 1 star-reviews, tons on complaints of it cracking and ruining the double seal and having it forever store water in the gap. Maybe a manufacturer defect is why it's on sale atm.

I had similar ones, they are good, however if u put this in the dishwasher, soapy water gets into the tiny vent hole and stays inside the hollow cavity, you can't get it out. So as long you hand wash them, they are fine.

Be very careful with these. These double walled borosilicate glass cups are all over Amazon and Aliexpres, and the glass is very thin. Hand wash only, and absolutely do not put these in a sink with other dishes. A stray fork or knife can give one of these a tiny scratch which will eventually cause the glass to spontaneously shatter, (if it doesn't immeadiately in the sink) especislly from a rapid temperature change. When this shatters, the glass will leave tiny slivers all over the place. These are the worst broken glasses to clean up.

I still prefer single-walled glass cups and ceramic mugs. The glass is always thicker on single-walled, and ceramics generally leave less dangerous and easier to clean messes when they eventually break.

Yes, I have kids who have broken just about every kind of glass and mug imaginable. Borosilicate glass is much more resilient when it's thick, like with Pyrex measuring cups.

FWIW I had [these ones from Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P8DJHHD) for a year and they hold up just fine, never being washed by hand (dishwasher only) — they don't crack, there is no water between the glass walls, it's just fine. I used [these different ones](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FMYW4RX) from 2018 to 2025, but they eventually broke (by falling on the floor, which was my fault), those are not sold anymore. I think the negative comments are just more likely to surface. Although I have no idea how bad the subject mugs are, I can only attest to the ones I bought myself.
