Seems decent with the stack.

Edit: 95% polyester with YKK zips. Not a huge fan of poly but for $15, what can one expect?

Good thing about Costco is that you can bring it back to the store if you don't like it, no questions asked. Sometimes I can't believe the condition of things people bring back. Once saw a bbq grill returned at the end of the summer. It has obviously been well used and never cleaned, but Costco took it back.

For what it's worth, synthetic fabrics are the norm for midlayers like this. The nicest alternatives from more premium brands will also be polyester (or another synthetic). The only exceptions would be wool blends, which have some advantages (much more odor resistant, somewhat more breathable, warmer per weight) and some disadvantages (much less durable, much more expensive, higher minimum warmth). Cotton is a terrible choice for anything you might sweat in because it holds on to tons of water, chafes, and doesn't breathe at all when wet. I've seen some impressive stuff done with hemp blends but I don't see it often—I wonder if it's harder to work with.

Tl;dr if you're going to sweat in the clothes, and wool isn't an option, you want a synthetic, and that's what almost every designer will use

This looks like their grid fleece with brushed face. I bought the 1/4 zip pullover that is almost identical at Costco a few months ago. It's nice enough, definitely a good deal. It fits big, I sized down and it's still fairly large.

It'll feel a bit heavier than other grid fleeces, the zippers are a bit larger than you'll find on higher priced pieces, and it doesn't have nice extra features like thumb loops. But it's a good deal for a basic comfortable grid fleece
