If you are printing a something with different filaments(colors):
A tool changer will automatically switch out the nozzle/toolhead when you change filament.
This printer will use the same nozzle when changing colors, which means you have to run a good amount of the new filament to purge(poop) out the old otherwise you get mixed filaments in your print. edit: I think you still need to buy an upgrade for this printer to do multiple colors

Last couple months a few printer companies have debuted their new tool changer models

This is a fair price, but not a screaming deal. Costco is the best place to buy one. I have K1 and it's been pretty good.

What is your day to day use for it? I know it has occasional use for some project or some hobbyist work. Is there anything else I am missing?

I own both a Creality and a Bambu Labs P1S. The Bambu just works, while I often find myself tweaking something on the Creality for each print. The upside of Creality is flexibility. It plays nicely with a wider range of programs and slicers. Bambu, on the other hand, works best, and sometimes only, with its own software. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you are not comfortable with proprietary software or data concerns. (BambuLabs software phones home [to China] often)

That said, I am commenting because this looks like a solid deal. I would consider picking one up myself to replace an older Ender 5 that is nearing end of life.
