Stay away from Eufy. Each update gets worse and worse leaving your cameras inoperable. Support staff and engineers are clueless. Look elsewhere.
I agree that the firmware updates keep getting worse, but they are still better in their current crappy state than anything else I've tried.

Try Tapo you won't be disappointed. Better than Eufy IMO.

I was just thinking the same about my Arlo system and thinking about switching over to Eufy (which is why I clicked on this post). My main gripe with Arlo (besides the fees) is the awful app ui experience. Any thoughts comparing both is appreciated!

Switched over from Arlo to Eufy about 5 years ago, and never looked back. As others have mentioned these systems all have their quirks and potential headaches but Eufy has definitely been a better overall experience than Arlo, with no subscription fees. I think it helps if you have very fast internet (fiber) and can hardwire (ethernet) your homebase.

Eufy, if you've bought into it already. I have 100% guarantee from their support that they'll never FOSS old firmware to flash and re-use once it's dead.

Plus, they EOL/Discontinue things arbitrarily, and you're left with unmatching hardware.

I tried a couple of Tapo and the image is good but it seems to be missing events often.

I've been using Eufy for 6 years and while imperfect, they've been pretty good for me
