Good deal right now if you want Crimson Desert. I wouldn't use that likely POS PSU in a build with a $600+ GPU, but that's just me. You could probably sell that PSU for ~$45 based on eBay results. Not sure how hard they make selling the game key. The last one I did for a game bundled with a Ryzen 9 9900X I bought for my kid had to be validated / redeemed on a CPU model that was part of the offer. I hadn't put together his build yet, but fortunately for me the 7950X in my desktop was also a qualifying SKU so I was able to redeem it that way before the deadline.

Probably not important to most people, but worth noting that these SAPPHIRE 9070 series cards with 2x HDMI share bandwidth across those ports.

No, two completely different cards. This one, much like almost every other 9070xt on the market, only uses 2 8 pin PCI-E connectors, not the 12VHPWR connector.

I passed on this card around Christmas time because of it's 2 HDMI ports. It was a feature I was interested in, but it isn't typical on these cards, and Sapphire implemented it themselves. I read a lot of reports online of people having issues with the HDMI ports because of how they were implemented.

Best Buy has the Gigabyte 9070 XT Open Box Excellent Condition for $650. I was going to buy that one but someone from Mercari was selling a new one for $550 so I jumped on that one instead. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/g...=excellent

No it doesn't depend, the performs better regardless and if you're worried about power a) undervolt it b) stop cheaping out on PSU
I never said the 9070 XT doesn't perform better. I stated that depending on your goal the difference is negligible.

The 9070 and 9070 XT have the same memory bandwidth, which causes the XT variant to generally be bandwidth starved. The CU count is also 64 vs 56 only a marginal increase for the XT variant.

So AMD gets most of the performance of the XT by setting the TDP higher: 304 watts versus 220 watts. But the incremental performance boost is very small, scoring only 12.5% higher in Timespy Extreme graphics bench. That represents remarkably lower performance per watt for the XT.

Once you take the TDP back down to reclaim the performance per watt the cards perform remarkably similar. So if your goal is a cool and quiet system there is almost no reason to pay more for the XT.

Why the downvote? This is one of the cheapest 9070XT you can ever find.

Edit: I see why now. No XT so no go.

Hey guys, please help me out. I currently have a PNY 5070 Ti, should I buy this instead? I heard this performs almost on par with a 5080. Is that true? TIA.

Yep. This is like comparing a RTX 5070 to a 5070Ti version.
Not true at all. When compared to the regular 5070 the 5070 Ti has more VRAM and a wider memory bus for more memory bandwidth, and has 30% more CUDA cores. The RX 9070 XT when compared to the RX 9070 does not have more VRAM, does not have more memory bandwidth, and has only 14% more CUs.

Yep, the more apt comparison is the 5070 Ti to 5080. Similar differences.

No. 5070 Ti is faster a majority of the time, especially in RT.

That PSU is perfectly fine for a 9070xt system. If you have the cash to buy a 5090 you're not going to mind the extra $100 for the psu upgrade when that time comes.

POS? Rosewill has been making PSUs for a long time. This is a good deal.

Ignorant comment. The 9070 has a binned 9070 XT chip. The 9070 XT returns performance that scales with the wattage. If you OC a 9070 you're going to hit base 9070 XT numbers, and if you want to OC the 9070 XT it scales accordingly. So if you're someone who plans to run lower wattage than the factory settings, the 9070 is a great choice as well. But, if I wanted this game and needed a PSU, this would be a much better deal than a $600 9070.

Gigabyte card offered at same price (with same perks). $740-$40 coupon.

Gigabyte specs indicate a higher boost clock...specsmanship no doubt.
