Tracker is not rechargeable but advertised to last 7 years. Not sure how thick it is as the specification is lacking.

Not sure which one you looked at, but the Samsung wallet one for example says it is rechargeable

The $24 Slim S that says Samsung Only is rechargeable, but not the first one linked in the thread. It looks like the original Slim has a non-rechargeable 7 year battery compared to the Slim S with a rechargeable 1 year life. The Slim looks thicker than the Slim S but I can't find official dimensions for it.

Thanks for the info. It's too bad the rechargeable one only works with Samsung. I just switched to Pixel.

Tile being compatible with Android and iOS is what made me stick with tile but I don't like not having rechargeable slim tracker, I already switched to the Pro models so I can swap out the battery.

Yeah, too bad it's not rechargeable because of how likely it is that it will be in service for more than 7 years. No chance it breaks given that it's a robust 1.7mm plastic covered electronic device that you will be sitting on over 100,000 times. Also, you are definitely going to keep track of the proprietary charging adapter for that long.

IF the battery truly lasts 7 years then it's probably not an issue for most users, however reviews for similar products that I checked before indicate it may be significantly shorter. I ended up getting a no name one for $10 that is rechargeable via qi wireless charging, and I don't keep my wallet in my back pocket so no worries about that. It works okay, the only drawback is that there can be a 15+ minute delay in getting notified when my wallet is no longer with me (I assume because the sampling rate to check the tracker is infrequent to preserve battery life).
