I just have to commend the TV industry. They are basically the only industry that continues to give us more for less. Every other commodity in consumer electronics is going the other way. I don't see how they keep this up much longer.

Vizio makes some real junk TV's. If you buy it, get ready to replace it in 4 years or less. It's cheap, and there's a reason for that.

Completely agree as someone who is looking to replace their 4 year old Vizio because at random times the right side is the TV will just go dark, it has completely turned me off from buying their TVs ever again

They are taking your data that's why. Also taking screenshots of your tv while you watch. So they sell your data for more then what they lose on tv sale

But the TV has no access to the internet. I use Roku, so the tv is just showing a video feed, nothing more, nothing less. Now on the topic of streaming boxes, sure, maybe that could be true...

Vizio has been absolute garbage for years now. It is no longer the brand it was 10+ years ago. You used to get a lot of bang for your buck with them, but these days you get what you pay for.

They sell at cost and make money off the OS and use data much like Google . Also Walmart owns Vizio so they way to track what ads work on you the best.

Vizio was a standalone brand ten years ago, and had some solid value as long as you were okay with last year's leftover hardware. Walmart bought them in 2024. They're very clearly a budget brand now.
