I have 3 of the 10x10 ones and they've held up well for 2.5 years in socal
does it need to be anchored to the concrete or patio? or can it just sit on it?

received the pergola today. Only got a few minutes warning that the item was being delivered but delivery went well. Boxes arrived in a pallet, very secure.

I need the 10x20, however, in doing the math it's better to buy two 10x13 and it would be cheaper. Would installing two 10x13 side by side work?
Then is 10x26 or 13x20 and not 10x20. Also you will need to manually open both if you want the sun coming in.

I have a concrete pad 15x35 - this would easily fit at one corner
is this one of the better quality and value - or is there a different one you guys recommend
I bought the 10x20 almost 4 years ago. It is a very nice-looking pergola and one of the best items in my back yard. It still looks brand new and all my friends ask about it.

How much am I looking at for installation?I am not that handy to install it myself.
I paid the handyman like 500 bucks and it took him 2 days to install my 10x20. He also bought stronger anchors to tie down to the concrete.

It come with concrete anchors, and I bought some stronger ones. This is related to the wind level and how strong it can withstand.

Keep in mind the wind rating on this is not that high if you live in hurricane prone areas. You will be better off with a beefier build like a Pergolux or Bon Pergola although the price also increases accordingly.
When i research this (and end up buying a 10x20), the wind rating is heavily dependent on the anchors they supplied with the pergola. If you buy stronger ones, they should have a higher wind rating.

We bought the 8 x 8 grille that has offset posts. It took my wife and me about 4 hours to put up. That doesn't include the 4" of blocking that I installed underneath between the deck joists to secure it to withstand strong winds. It comes with bolts for securing it into cement, but we bought 4" Grip-tite lag bolt equivalents at Lowe's. When we were setting the posts, we temporarily zip-tied two of them to the deck railing using a 2x4 as a spacer. Once the posts were secured, the pergola felt as solid as the 6x6 deck supports. Bought it through costco. I think it was $2,000. Worth every penny.

I paid $2500 for the 10x13 in 2021. I live outside Boston and it's held up well. Zero rust or signs of wear but I will caution to make sure you need it in the open position during the winter. After 5 years of snow and ice, it just started showing sign of louvers bowing in the middle. I'm going to remove them and bend them back but main thing is to make sure I leave it in the open position going forward. After this price, it's a steal IMO.
