I bought this last week because somebody mentioned it could be powered by a USB to barrel plug adapter.

Could anyone give me a hint on how I could find the right size barrel plug for support this device?

The device is pretty cool. By far the smallest and lightest 5-port switch I have seen.

These are great for connecting multiple devices to a TV. Easily hidden behind the TV.

Could you explain what you mean by this? Like possibly provide a use case?

running an Ethernet cable to your TV gives it a more stable and sometimes faster connection to the Internet. with this 5 port switch, one Ethernet port becomes 5, so you could also also plug in an Apple TV, Amazon Fire Cube, PlayStation 5, etc.

For future reference, look at the power specs and whatever voltage the plug gives to the device ie 120 to 5v will give you the size of the plug you'll need. Each voltage has a different size. This does say 5v in the description so that essentially is the only size plug you'll need.

FYI if you have a modern TV you're likely better off with wifi. TVs generally have old 10/100 Ethernet ports, whereas anything from WiFi 5 onward will provide a higher speed connection. It's a trade off between a slower (potentially more reliable) hardwired connection and a faster wifi connection.

If you are looking for a hint, I generally search the OE power supply for the switch to get the barrel jack dimensions. This switch uses a 3.5mm x 1.35mm (Outer Diameter x Inner Diameter) barrel jack. Then I search the inner diameter and add USB to the criteria (IE: 1.35mm USB).

The exact product you are looking for is this:

I have this exact same cable and it powers my TP-Link switch just fine.
