7 upvotes. Isn't this like really normal price?

Plus the 40V 4ah is going to be really heavy on this unit.

That's a heavy battery for a line trimmer. I have brushless 18v and this is brushed 40v. Not a terrible deal, but I prefer the lighter 18v battery and brushless motors.

ive got this trimmer, and im not sure what people are talking about. the 4ah battery on it is balanced quite nicely and a fraction of what a gas weedwhacker weighs. like, sure. if you are only weedwhacking 1/10th of an acre, why carry the extra weight. but then why are you even talking about a 40v tool?

this price however, is kind of meh.

thanks for letting everyone know, but this is like me saying i prefer a car over a truck because i dont need to haul anything. if you have a small yard and dont need to cut any high grass, then yeah. this product isnt for you.

Not a bad deal. You'll pay this price for just the battery. I have the brushless carbon fiber version and it's been great. I have other trimmers from before but the Ryobi 40v is my go-to now. It just works and has more than enough power.

I understand 15 is not the smallest but they do make a 40v 16 and 17, can anyone with experience comment on these vs this?

To be sure, this is not a smoking deal so I realize it's worth the wait for the right tool. Also, this looks like their older style, so maybe there are meaningful improvements?

I came here for this. I have the same tool and don't find the battery to be a problem

Do these compete at all with a gas weedwhacker?
