This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.
I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.
Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.
In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)
On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.
So all in was $59.92.

FYI - waiting to try at the store now... (since I paid $461 on top of my s25+ trade 19 days ago, which now sucks)

Store rep was also surprised but it works and should choose pay in full option.
I paid $195 + $50tax in total
Phones that are paid in full should be unlocked but I'd still be concerned about this.
Is the phone unlocked? Verizon changed phones to unlock after a year vs the 60 days so not sure what Spectrum is doing because they are a reseller of Verizon.

My trade was $780 (700+80). Will the $780 be added as account credit that can then be added to my card. What about the $400 - would $1180 be credited or do I lose the $400?
My bill shows two credits a month. $11 for the $400 off and $21 for the trade. Ugh. I messed up a sweet deal

Oh great. Well, we'll see how it goes in trying to request a refund for the $700 trade in credit once it posts then.
