Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

Anybody had trade in credit issues so far with assurance with Walmart motors 5g phones.
I did 3 yesterday. No issues. I bought Att prepaid 128 GB moto G 2025 version. 1. It was cheaper at Walmart and 2. They gave me $10 trade in, instead of the $5 for the tracfone version.

tried again today to upgrade my galaxy a15 and again they were having an issue with their stupid camera/mirror test but this time after about 10min of trying and failing the guy just skipped that part of the test and offered me $1 trade in for the phone which is fine i was only quoted $6 on their website. I wish they did this when i went yesterday and didn't waste my time smh...

So if you are having issues with the mirror test they can totally skip that part and offer u $1 trade in.

Checkout went smoothly after we finally got past the stupid mirror test.

Im in sothern california bought the s26 ultra.

total was $198.99

paid $130.75 in taxes

total paid $329.74

i logged into my spectrum account and i seen they added a $5/month protection plan on my upcoming bill statement so i contacted live chat support and had them remove it.

36 MONTHS are too long to suffer with spectrum internet. ATT fiber is great in my area , too bad they don't offer any phone deals.
What did you find Spectrum internet to be lacking in? I've found it to be very reliable and plenty fast for my needs. Certainly fiber uploads are faster, but I don't generally need huge upload bandwidth.

i just received the s26+ phone from trading in an s23+ and was going to upgrade again, but using an s24+ for a free ultra, the online system appears to be allowing it.

Seems to be hit or miss but I believe it states for the promo that you can only trade one time per line. I have been seeing a few people here and there saying they could trade more than once but YMMV.

Time to walk. You can't fix an incompetent rep or store. $1100+tax is not worth the hassle dealing with trying to fix.
Actually, I had a really helpful rep and she was doing everything i asked. But when she got to the last screen for payment, the $700 promos disappeared. She actually showed me her screens. She chose pay in full and everything.
I saw the screen with my own eyes. It was ready to charge me $3600 (3 phones) and the $700 promos didn't show. I don't know what happened but she said it was a computer glitch. But yeah, she let me look at her screen as she was trying to help me out

i have one question and that is anyone cancelled the internet service and kept the mobile service and had no trouble with the unlocking after 61 days?

also I wanted to add to the group to see what i did.

didn't have spectrum internet.
1.went to spectrum store. told them i wanted to open up a new internet so i can get the mobile service.
2. trade in your old phone (go through series of tests) and purchase the phone at full value - trade in value
3. sign up for mobile service (get 1 year free if you are getting a new line)
4. you can cancel the internet after a month but you have to pay 10 dollars per month for mobile service if you cancel the internet service.
I am up to this part now i play the waiting game.
from now on is what i read from this and previous deal page
5. wait for email from Assurant that your trade in has been accepted and 700 + whatever value of your phone has been deposited to your account as credit (i read usually two weeks but please comment on how long it took you)
6. call customer service at (833) 224-6603 and ask for that credit as a refund to cc or debit card.
7. wait 61 days and unlock your phone and cancel mobile service.

I traded in an iphone 13 pro max with a cracked back glass for a s26 ultra . I got $18 + $700 promo + $400 discount. Total: 181.99 plus tax. This is better than the pre order deal.

Went to store today to get 2 more and trade ins were fine--got to the part to put credit card in and it said that the phones had to be ordered online. They said it was probably cautious of fraud because I did 3 previous transactions and 1 of them was on another account. They are holding the 2 phones for me till we try and figure it out but it doesn't look like it's going to go through and they said it will take several days for them to allow me to order in store. Anyone have challenges getting the trade in back to a card before. I surely don't want it on my account for 3 years. Not sure that I'll stay with them.

You can check for yourself because how they order is very similar to how we order online just minus the app testing the phone, auto-completing the $700 promo trade-in condition, giving you the phone in hand and subtracting everything so you pay less off the bat.

I received the email for the trade in clearing at the same time as the purchase with in-store purchase. It sounds like you paid in full and they didn't check your phone if you still had to pay the $700? Something sounds wrong, if they had did it right, it's supposed to subtract the $700+$400 then and there plus the cost of your trade in if they do it correctly.
