Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

I know, I already got S26 on the free line, and S26+on the second line. I still want to trade S26 for S26U (which I failed in store) but I m not sure about ordering online.
Have you tried in store? What's error code it's giving?

If you have the time and energy to fight then you should screen record the order process and see how it plays out.

So device is locked for 36 months ?
My understanding is $400 is instant, but you get the $700 off over 36 months so if you leave before then you forfeit whatever that discount was

With 3 separate deal posts about Spectrum S26 it's hard to keep track of everything. I don't recall anyone successfully trading an S26 series for an S26 in store. Very very few people successfully got there order to go through online from what I can remember.

One one of the three Spectrum threads, someone did post that he managed to trade S26 for S26U.

Has anyone that has been "locked" or "banned" from purchasing more phones in store able to call the "Spectrum Fraud Department" to lift it and be free to purchase more?
I'm still banned from the store since the S25 series..lol.

You ever call to try to have it lifted? Supposedly mine was "lifted" but I still think it won't checkout. I'll try again tomorrow

Item with the pass-in identifier does not exist.
When I click the link from the Assurant trade-in email, I see this error. This is an online order, Motorola trade-in for s26 Plus, payment in full, upgrading an eligible line.

You have to wait at least 4 hours after you received an email about that for the system to update.

I did it for the Ultra this time at a different store, and the specialist was great. One thing I noticed, though, is that Spectrum seems to have updated the terms without mentioning it anywhere. Now it looks like only 2 trade-ins are allowed on the account. When we tried the third one for my friend on my account, it was denied. Anyone experienced the same?

Thanks for info. Not surprising they are tightening up the rules. As a point of interest, even though they overlap, the original deal in March does not seem to count as a trade in for the current deal. I got a s26 in March and then traded a moto g for an Ultra on the same line in April. Yesterday added a second line and traded an old samsung for an s26+.

I just came from the store where the system denied at the last step of trade-in for S26 Ultra. It said fraud and displayed the previous 4 trade-ins. I believe it is the same reason they denied me last year too after 4 in-store trade-ins. How many in-store trade-in that you succeed this trade-in deal? Normally the system rejected after 4 trade-in in-store. For this year I already did 5 trade-in in-store.
