Just wanted to add a data point.

This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.

I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.

Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.

In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)

On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.

So all in was $59.92.

It's instant in the spectrum stores. Online it takes a few weeks.

I think this is one of the cheapest, easiest to purchase phone that qualifies for $705.

If you have recently started with internet ask them about the $400 credit when adding a phone line. This was done at Spectrum store and I had no idea it was available. I'm not sure if you have to purchase a 26 Ultra but when I checked out I said I really like the Ultra and then he came back with if you purchase the Ultra we can give you a $400 credit. I think the catch was it had to be done on payments--I paid mine in full so he did a work around and the credit is now on my account. If you've already purchased everything--still ask them as mine was purchased last Thursday. He mentioned that the internet should have been purchased in the last 30 days but thought they might have a little wiggle room on that. Never hurts to ask. So I ended up with the Ultra and paid $200 more and received a $400 credit. Wish I knew if it worked on the 26+ Don't be deceived by the size difference in the Ultra vs 26+ It's hardly noticeable but the way they have them in the store it looks a lot larger. Unless you need the nicer camera--I wouldn't bother--My personal opinion just based on size and my needs. This $400 credit is NOT the same as the $400 off the phone--it's in addition to it.
Looks like it is only for new internet customers and has to be applied in-store only promotion.

This $400 credit was applied after the purchase of the phone. I purchased phones last Thursday and manager just put this credit on my account yesterday. I paid for phones when purchasing them so only paid sales tax, $20 activation, (excluding free line) and $20 monthly fee (excluding the free one) This credit was for having internet and adding a phone line. Like I said before--I'm not sure if the phone had to be a Ultra or could have been a Plus. He offered this when I said I really liked the Ultra so I switched the Ultra. Here is the credit posted and remember my phones were all paid in full so the $400 for phone came off of those receipts. This is because of new internet and new phone line combo Promo Service Credit Phone - $11.12 I had no idea about this extra $400 until the sales person told me about it. Where are the credits listed on my account? I can't find the $400 listed anywhere but this came off as of yesterday/today. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention tho and thanks a million for posting this and helping everyone out. You Rock!!!!
This $400 credit is separate from the $400 off the new phone?
I opened up new home internet and added 2 mobile lines yesterday. Was I supposed to ask or get some sort of additional $400 credit? I am going back in the store today because they forgot to remove the $65 install charge and I am going to change the internet from the $30 500 mb to the 1G for $50. Appreciate any tips and tricks.

Yes it's different. I did the 500 to get free install but I ordered my internet online before I purchased the phones but it was on the same day. I used a CB site for the internet. You will need to ask the manager about this. I'm not sure if it was if your purchased the Ultra or if it worked on the S26+. Like I said--I didn't want to go to the Ultra but he came back with the $400 credit because of internet. If they insist on the Ultra just buy it and you will have made $200 with the credits. After the transaction they said it was supposed to be done through payments and sales rep didn't know--oops. But they promised me I would get it and he did it yesterday. Tell them that the internet offers free install so they should honor that.

Can I open a home internet account then add a phone line, and then cancel the spectrum internet after availing this offer?

The $400 Credit for having new internet in the last 30 days and adding a phone is totally different then the $400 on phone--- The $400 on phone is actually a discount on phone--not sure why they do it as a credit when you purchase it. If your internet is less then 2 months you should ask about it--never hurts to ask no matter how old your internet is.

You will pay more for your phone service if you do and your phone service will be free for 1 line for a year. So not sure it would makes financial sense to do it. It is in my plan tho to look at it vs Frontier after phones are unlocked. But only because I use tracfone and never use the 1GB per year--so I'm a very low data user because of being on wifi all the time.

You can cancel anytime--no contract just do it wisely and make sure it fits your lifestyle and it makes $$$$ sense to you. Phones won't do you any good unless unlocked. If you cancel internet--then the monthly phone rate increases.

Have you seen something like this on your Spectrum account "Limited Time: Customer Appreciation FREE Offer Get an additional Unlimited Mobile line FREE for 1 year with Spectrum Internet®.". I am not sure if we need to call in for such an offer?
That is for 1 year free mobile service and if you haven't gotten that, then go for it. If you already have a free unlimited line, just try again it might give you a 2nd line free because a few people got a 2nd line free, but most won't get 2nd line free if they already have one. Before submitting an order for that make sure it is shown as free or no charge; so be careful.

Ok, I opened 2 new phone lines and traded 2 phones for the Ultra and S26+ both paid in full, same time as I opened new home internet yesterday. Going back at 12pm and will report back on the $400 new home internet, 2 new phone line account credit.

I placed another order online yesterday for a new line, then got an email today saying my order was canceled due to "credit concerns." My order was doe pay in full, my credit card didn't deny the payment, and my credit score is top tier. What on earth?!

Oh man then I have no idea...All I know that I was banned on in-store trade-in from now on and hopefully they allow me to do it again next year. Last year I was banned after 3 or 4 trade-in in-store, then this year after 5 trade-in in-store. Looks to me they reset the ban counter for each year; otherwise I wouldn't traded in for 5 times successfully for this year.
I had done the Spectrum Samsung trade-in 2 times each for S24 and S25 in 2024 and 2025. This year I could not do even once as I am banned from in-store trade-in. I have been using Spectrum internet for over 4 years now. I don't know what logic they have for the bans.

Yes, once the credit posts to your account you need to contact CS either by phone or chat and ask for the credit to be posted to your credit card.
