This worked for me today in Texas for an S26+.
I went to Walmart and bought the Moto G 2025 64gb, turned it on and got to the home screen, went to spectrum and traded it in.
Spectrum had to select "Other" for carrier and I got the $400 off plus $705 for the trade in. It seems like taxes were on the price of the phone minus the trade in value, so taxed on $395 at 8.25% taxes were $32.58.
In total I paid $27.57 to Spectrum (1100-400-705=-5 +32.58 tax)
On top of that I paid Walmart $32.35.
So all in was $59.92.

Here is my timeline for 4/21. Did 2 trade ins, paid in full at the store on 4/20 but was locked out of opening a 3rd line/trade in. New internet and new mobile account.
4/21 2:32pm: Placed order for new line & trade in

Did you call retention and ask to cancel? Or is there a super secret trick? :p
Did you continuously have internet or tv service while you ported out, waited a month or so, then got the 1 year free offer again?

4/22 2:07pm: We have tried to contact you about your order, number XXX, from April 21. Since we have not heard back from you, your order has been canceled.
They never tried to contact me, I uploaded my DL yesterday. I guess the new limit was 2 per week or something. Happy to get an Ultra & + but moving over my internet service has been a struggle so far, will see how long I stay with them since my local Frontier service is $10 cheaper per month.
