I kept track each of them when I activated and when it passed 60 days. All are under the free line and of course all are inactive after activation.
@okhello, Could you please explain if I am using the free line, how can I get more phones under the same free line? And how can I bring all other phones to same one free line for unlocking? Thank you in advance!

Does the phone have to be bought & activated on my line in order to be unlocked? Spectrum phone activated on another family members plan, now sitting in drawer, can I add to my free line and unlock after the 60 days from initial activation. Or does the phone need to be unlocked from the original buyers line?

You should be able to unlock with your free line

People have when the numbers made sense. Right now with the current promotions and trade in values so low it doesn't make sense in my opinion. Better off waiting a month or two get the phone unlocked and sell them.

Do I have to keep it on the same esim for the 2 months before requesting unlock or can I use a different esim/Sim for the first 2 months if I wish to do so?

Probably not worth the effort now. I got mine when 16e was literally free and many scored 2-3 16es and/or 13 for $70 for a month of service, as existing users. That was simply incredible and unheard of. Glad I was able to score some.
Fair enough. Looks like now, it's not only 79.99 but also no activation fee waiver AND tax on full price of the phone.

Have you received "Your Order is Canceled Due to Credit Concerns" email?

Because here is my case: Spectrum asked me to verify with driver license 1 hour after placing the order. no email updates and no credit card charge until 2 days later, "Your Order is Canceled Due to Credit Concerns" email showed up.
Yes, eventually same thing happened. Talking with Fraud Prevention Dep. got the green light from there but it sat there another 2 days and then was canceled with the same email message about "Credit concerns". FP said that once they clear it, it goes to "Credit Dep." and they make the final decision there and they do not talk to customers.
This was the 3rd attempt to do my last round on trade-ins this year (funny enough, it was the S25 lines from previous year).
My more-detailed summary below:

1st - in-store opening internet and mobile accounts and doing 2x lines with 2 Moto G 2025 for S26+. The shysters at store also added $40 mid level internet tier instead of lower 100 Mbps for $30 with no WIFI like I asked them. Also mistyped my email address (among some other mistakes) on the mobile side so I was not getting Assurant emails on my second transactions because of it. Asked sale rep to print me the order summary because I was not receiving emails, he printed me only the mobile one, not the internet, no surprise why😆. Called CS and moved to the tier I wanted (took 2 tries because first billing agent "was not seeing" the $30 option for my area....SUUUREEEE).

2nd - 2x Moto G 2025 for S26+ on same 2 lines in-store but they had "no stock" (I really doubt that, I have a feeling they were keeping phones for other/new accounts or fraud prevention already popped up here but he didn't say anything) so they offered to order for shipment to house. I took the option and after chasing stupid FedEx "signature required" delivery I was able to redirect it (they only allow redirect once at least 1 delivery attempt is done). Only some FedEx locations qualify, can't send it to Walgreens or or some other locations with FedEx pick-up locations...then 2 packages somehow got separated 1 arrived 2 days after the other one at pick-up location...complete waste of time. Also, sales douche added 2 warranty addons to new phones ... another shyster move. Called and removed the addons and change my email they messed-up on the first transaction. They had to make a ticket w/Assurant because system was not sending the trade-in emails. Super nice guy from technical support called me same day and resolved first 1 offer and then 2nd one shortly after (2nd one had more issues he had to reach out to Assurant directly).

3rd - tried doing trades for last year S25 and S25U and computer told him regarding possible fraud (he didn't tell me at first and went behind a door to see a manager but I could see it on his face and I know it always freaks them out from previous years 🤣). So he offered me to do another online shipment but I refused, then he told be about the fraud message on the computer and told me I'm still eligible to the offer for shipment/online if I want and told me to call fraud prevention to check with them if any issues exist for in-store and also gave me their email. I called and agent checked with FP and they told me they see no issues on my account. Then I tried ordering myself online and it didn't let me and told me to call the number, then I placed the order with CS over the phone. Then for a few days there was no movement so I called CS and they could not see anything wrong, then eventually I asked for FP and they told me there was an email I should have gotten to upload ID. The system never sent it, then they resent it and I was able to submit it. Then called the next day and the FP agent was able to check on it and process it further. She told me that it shouldn't be long (few hours at most) until I get order confirmation email. Didn't get anything by end of day so I called in to FP again ... and that's when the guy confirmed that FP did their part and now it's at their Credit Dep. and they do not talk to customers. and I should get a status update from them shortly one way or the other. Then I got the order cancellation email next day due to "...credit concerns"...😂.

So the conclusion is: Many in-store staff I encountered are shysters and add unnecessary items when being told exactly what you want and nothing more for extra commissions. Always ask to check pricing on-screen before the order since they do not print out receipts and everything is "emailed", which is not true. This year's 1 week deal was massively nerfed (compared to previous years that lasted for a month or more) since now you cannot up-trade same line S26 to S26 or S26P or S26U and this year it was completely random when people were being flagged by the system (previous years it was 4-5 transactions in-store) until online ordering was required. Similarly, even after dealing with FP, it was a waste of time. Due to shyster behavior and crap "fraud/credit" system I'll be canceling everything after phones unlock. I was going to keep the internet but I don't feel like I want to support company that creates such stupid hurdles and have shyster sales staff, not to mention doing some schemes with sales tax and not returning all of it like they should/did previously. I'll make sure to provide feedback if they give me a link or ask about it.
Deal on paper 9/10; Deal with all the obstacles and wasted time 4-5/10.

Per Assurant's rep, it takes up to 10 business days to complete. One of my trade-ins took exactly 9 business days to get a response from Assurant.
Is that true even though the spectrum tracker says up to 5 business days and gives an estimated date?

I have 4 new lines with Spectrum==1 being free. Would it be a good idea to close 2 of the lines before the next billing and then close the other one after the next billing. That would only make me pay the extra $20 for 1 line. How easy is it to move a phone from one line to another or just take it off and put it back on? The phone I have on the free line now is the one that I want to keep on it for a year. I don't want to jeopardize my chances of getting another deal in 2027. I am actually a tracfone user which works out great for me but I'll take the free line and see if my usage warrants paying for a line. I'll probably try porting out like others have done and port back in for another year free if I can't get them to offer it to me. Will have to see how the internet goes compared to Frontier.

Can you please share the walmart links? I see someone shared the straight talk locked phones but not sure whether they work for Trade-in
It'll be fine for trade in as long as they can access the imei. I would just avoid the phones that require activation for set up.

I asked in the S26U thread but wanted to ask here to gather more DP. Could someone boot into recovery (vol up + power) and share if their device shows release-keys or test-keys? Some users with Verizon + Spectrum devices reported that they shipped some out with the debug/engineering build signed with generic test-keys, which randomly can have memory leaks that result in boot looping until app data is wiped.

Folks, I sent in 512GB s26+ for trade in and I even have the box that says it. But assurant emailed me saying it is 256GB and deducted $80 in trade in credit. Anyone else in the same scam boat by assurant?

Folks, I am trying to trade in my s26+ 512 GB, it should 700 + 550 but the assurant tracking page shows only 550. it does not show 700. anyone else in the same boat?
For my another line trade in, I am doing moto that gave $700 + $5 and assurant tracking correctly shows 5 and promotion offer 700. So am worried if I should proceed with s26+ trade in or not
Did the $700 show back up?
