I just chatted with them again. This time they said I have to waited 60 days since it was activated yesterday. They agreed that it was activated on March 21st, but they said that I removed it from the line. They said it needs to be active on the line for 60 days, not removed.
Was that moving the physical sim to a Motorola and back? I moved my physical sim to a Motorola and then back around a week later. No problem if the 60 day count started again, just never occurred to me it may now be considered a BYOD. Is there any way to tell in your account if the phone is listed as a BYOD phone? Thanks

Not active 60 days.
Isn't June 15th less than 60 days? Unless you moved it back on April 16th

Yes, moving PSIM to Motorola. I saw it labeled the option menu BYOD under Changing Device. I have no idea about BYOD.

Mine started on the 1st on every line. Right now I am crazy about these Spectrum agents denied me today. I am tired. Let it be and will try it later on.

It's very arbitrary. Just try another agent and you might get lucky.

I think I need to act as a car salesman to these Spectrum agents this time in order to unlock my 12 S26 devices. 😀😀😀 11 more to go, but looks like a miserable journey.
Anyone explain if they have idea on this..dont understand the spectrum bill..bought in friend account so while purchase asked spectrum to charge my cc card only during that time so should have charged 97 each for both phones including 40 plan (the rep added it insteadof 20 plan) but i see no charge to my cc on day or purchase and then my fr bill of 30 got charged on my cc and then later one month after that charged my card again 207(97+40+40+30)
how to understand this bill. when checked with them, they say prorate bill from apr 24 till may 5 . i.e 20 for 40 plan and instead of downgrade to 20 gig plan they charge 30 now. Will i receive prorated credit back and why I was never charged another 97 for 2nd line but double charged on 40 plan as mentioned

Can you or friend sign into your friends account and check the purchase history? Need to look at the mobile billing account history. Should show both purchases, the dates and what you were charged for. Do you have any receipts? Was friend's credit card charged at all? Maybe the other $97? Receipts would have been emailed to friend. No first free line or were these 2nd and third lines? There is a $20 activation fee for each line that is not free and that would be included in the $97. Payment for any part of the monthly mobile bill, prorated or otherwise is not included in that $97. Pretty sure once you use your credit card in the store it is set to be the default credit card for that account. That would explain while you were charged and will continue to be charged. Friend will need to change it. There are no prorata refunds on mobile, only a prorata charge for the first billing cycle when you add a new line. Friend or you can change $40 plan to $20 plan. Not sure if you can do it online or have to call but don't think it goes into effect till the end of the billing cycle. When I added a second line that is a $20 line the next bill was $40 which included 2 months of service. My next bill will be $20. That may be why you saw $40. Are both phones active and working at the moment? Nobody can really answer your questions without being able to look at the account. Should also check the estimate for the next bill under mobile billing. Good luck!

On a different note, besides the first person who traded a s26 series for another s26 series and received the extra or profit amount back to their credit card, was anyone else successful in getting the extra or profit amount back to either to a card or check? Several people mentioned that they could see the credit but reps would not give them back more than they payed for the phone. Thanks!

There's definitely a payment processing glitch with spectrum. I've experienced it on all 3 separate visits to spectrum this year. The store has no clue but instantly the payment failure pops up in the account and you have to process the payment manually or let it go to auto pay.

Ok but isn't 40 plan is already included in 97. Why would they double charge (97+40+40) when they already charged it.i checked the account and it's how it looks like

Not when I opened a new line and got an s26+. The charge for the monthly plan was not included in the amount I paid at the store when getting a new line and the phone. It was on the next bill. Just the tax and the $20 activation fee was on the in store receipt. The charge for the mobile service is on the next mobile bill. Sometime that is prorated. This is the way it has always worked for me. The promo ended April 21st but you are prorated from April 24th? When you say that is what it looks like what does the breakdown actually say? Good luck again

Ok. When they asked to pay in store, it shows 97.28. (40 plan+30 act fee+27.28 tax). Didn't check the card and now after a month their payment charge is weird

just experienced the same issue because of sim switching. SIM removal pushes 60-day rule back further, unfortunatelyFrown.

I think they are just trying to make things more difficult then they need to be. The terms on the website are simple and clear but the reps are twisting the words and making things more complicated. I haven't called so I'm not sure if the reps on the phone are better than the reps on the chat but it may be with trying.
