A bug out bag is basically an emergency bag. Bug out being an expression for when you need to get out of a bad situation quickly and don't have time to prepare.

"Filters 1000 gallons".

First, you need to do a suck test. 10 sucks, spit into a measuring cup.

Do that three times, divide by 3, then divide by 10 to get your average suck volume.

Now take 1000 gallons divided by your average suck volume. That's your limit.

Then, count your sucks!

Everyone knows this. It's basic math.

When you have water coming out of both ends (vomiting/diarrhea), then it's probably no good anymore.
