No. $400 off the top. S26 Ultra is $899 already (not $1299). Get a cheap prepaid phone (I have a Galaxy A03s), they'll give me $5 + $700 promo credit = $705. My total will end up being $194 + tax. Pay in full. There's no way I would give up my S25 Ultra in this case. It's worth more selling on the private market.
I did this a month ago and got an S26 the same way. I'll do the S26 Ultra tomorrow on the same line.
I do in-store, though. Sales tax is applied differently (since your trade-in is evaluated and applied right away) as opposed to doing it online and waiting for the promo credit to hit.

No. Pay the cost of the phone at checkout, send in your trade-in and you'll get the FULL value applied to your account. You can call/chat and have that credit applied as a refund to your credit card.
If you're paying in full, there is nothing involving "3 years" at all. It's paid.

Yes! And it's MUCH better. At least in TX and many other states, you make out a lot better because you only pay sales tax on the amount AFTER your trade-in is applied.
If you do it online, you pay the FULL sales tax of the device and the credit is applied later, no sales tax refunded.
I will literally save something like $95 doing it in-store rather than online.

This depends on your state. Here in TX, doing that same "pay in full" transaction in store would only result in about $8 sales tax, as we pay tax on the post-discount price. But many states pay on the pre-discount price.
Today, I got Ultra in TX and was charged tax on $400 off, but not on $705 trade in value. Final OTD $244 (194.99+49.09 taxes). Tax rate is 8.25%
Same with my friend in Missouri.

Should have had the option to do pay in full at the store. Sounds like they set it up as monthly credits, which is not recommended since the credits are across 36 months which means you're stuck with 3yrs of service.
This is not how it works. https://i.imgur.com/VaSaJc3.jpeg

So I would really appreciate some help and insight as my s23 ultra died on me today and went into boot loop. I went ahead and ordered the Moto 5G 2025 Verizon version from Amazon since it would come quicker then the total wireless one from Walmart. Will that still work and I assume that I should open it or can I bring it in in the box? I plan to do this in store. The other question is since my other phone isn't working and I'm currently on T-Mobile but it's a family plan should I port my number over to spectrum and then wait the 60 days to have it unlocked and go back to T-Mobile or should I have them assign me a number and just wait until it's unlocked? Also there is some mention that you get a free year of service if that's the case how do I go about asking for that. There's 115 pages on the other thread in 20 something on here I'm trying to go through them all but I'm really in a bind since my phone broke so if somebody could walk me through this or even private message me I would really really really appreciate it. 🙏

I'm confused were you also able to trade in the Walmart moto G g2025 or did you just trade in iphone? The last display point in CA someone said it didn't work or they refused to take it as trade in. I wanted to do this tmw but didn't want to buy the phone and have it rejected.
I just did that with the iphone 13.

I just picked one of these up with a pixel 10 pro xl last week and the camera is crap compared to the pixel and my previous phone. I'm coming from a Note 20 Ultra and it feels like Samsung has just gotten lazy over the years. It also pre-loads a bunch of crap like tiktok, instagram and other unwanted malware upon booting up.

Sounds like user error. No malware here. Camera is great.

It's dead now. I got one this morning and tried to get another one for my mom before the store near me closed. The manager said there were people tried to get like 4 at once with some chap phone bought at Walmart to trade in. They canceled all shipping ordered and will only honor if you want t over the trade credit over 36 months. The manager said spectrum has told the stores not to apply the extra trad in credit if you are paying off the phone.

If you cancel internet, how much they will charge you for a free phone line?
nothing, as you won't have the phone line.

$40. You can keep phone w/o internet. It's an additional $10 a month. So $30 plus $10. You need Internet to ESTABLISH mobile service.

I have 2 phones eligible for trade in, but just one line. Can we get one, finish the transaction, and then get another after some time with the second trade-in for the same line?

Okay finally did this deal at the spectrum store yesterday. I bought a Samsung a15 (in my case total wireless version) from Walmart to trade. The moto phones could be had for $20 less but I saw some people reporting issues with them being trades so I paid the extra amount so I wouldn't run into issues. I paid in full for the s26 ultra and in missouri (with the trade in) it came out to $240.

It is my understanding that the Spectrum Mobile line should be active on the device for 2 months to enable Unlock after 60 days. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

Yes, I specifically asked Spectrum Store Rep and he confirmed that I can get it unlocked after 60 days.
