got it. thanks man. did you happen to keep the internet service? i opened the internet service just for it but want to cancel it after one month, keeping just mobile service for another month before unlocking the phone and using it on us mobile.
Your plan sounds fine. Should meet the unlock requirement with no problem so long as your mobile line stays active for the 60.

it seems the deal is dead. my local spectrum employee showed me the printed $700 trade-in term and conditions. $700 can only be credited in 36 months othe than applied with pay-in-full purchase.
It is not dead I literally did it today. Just go to another spectrum

was anyone successful in upgrading twice? first to s26+ and then ultra?
I upgraded the line today and when i try upgrading U, i can see the "Trade-In Value($470.00) + Spectrum Promotion($700.00)" till last page, not sure if i should go ahead
(worried because - trade in page says - "One trade-in promotional offer per line.")

So going back to store after couple of days to upgrade and trade in S26+ (that you bought via this deal) to S26 ultra won't work to get another discount? I read through the comments and only one person said they were able to do it.
did you try in-store or online?

For whatever odd reason it's "allowing" me to do an online trade on the same line that I just opened to trade my S26U for S26U with the $700+$400 promo and the phone is worth $575 trade in value. I'm not even tricking it either, just using the Spectrum+IMEI and it's allowing it. Nothing makes sense. At this rate I'm almost incentivized to get an extra S26+ and try to trade in for S26U. 🤣

are you going to do it? I am in same boat but worried about the line "One trade-in promotional offer per line." --have you read about anyone getting upgrade and credit this way?

I've only seen one person I think in both threads. I just feel bad cause I like the location I go to and the staff there. I might just open another line for an s26+ and then see if I can upgrade from then on or swap the phones between the two lines. I just feel so bad about it if it works.

Strike 3. Went to the store after removing all the s26s off of my account and putting four different phones. Still denied the promotion via the system saying one promotion per line even though I was opening a new line.
I have concluded that no one has been successful in literally trading an S26 for any other S series phones. I think the system automatically blocks all S26 phones from Spectrum.
However what I am unsure of, is that it sounds like you can trade an S26 Plus or an S26 Ultra and still get the promo credit because it seems as though the system isn't blocking the IMEIs from these versions.
As one last test I'm going back to Spectrum on Monday or so and having my sister open a Spectrum account and then I'll use my s26s to use to trade in on her account. My guess is it won't work.

do you think it would work in-person? please do update if it works, good luck!
those who tried, where do you see the discount falling off? ( i was at place order page and was able to see trade-In Value($470.00) + Spectrum Promotion($700.00))

Just got an S26 Ultra but didn't activate in-store. Can I transfer my current eSIM from my old iPhone esim to the S26U myself at home without visiting a store?

Maybe S26+ to S26U by saying you changed your mind and want to upgrade to s26U or trade in because you want the pen/privacy mode. Then again saying that might just flag it to them because they will think one per line promo. I can't imagine anyone allowing S26U for S26U unless they really don't gaf even if it works. I do plan on trading in for another S26+ for sure but I'm worried about the promo date saying it's ending 04/21/2026 and Spectrum being Spectrum, nobody has got a clue when it's actually ending because of how inconsistent and the lack of transparency. The staff were telling me last year and this year that they typically inform them like the evening before so it's really last minute. Must be why there are a decent chunk of stores that don't even know the promo changed.
