The 12AH batteries are excellent for running a panel light in emergency (i.e. extended power outage situation), for example you can keep the ridgid panel light running for approx. 22+ hours (in low power mode, which is still ALOT of light output), also in the same scenario it can keep the ridgid hybrid jobsite (smaller) fan running for approx. 14+ hours on the highest speed, or 5+ hours of runtime with the ridgid drum fan on the highest setting.

Great price and I would pick 1 up but I already have 10 other batteries! 😆. Don't think to put this on a handheld tool, as this is going to be super heavy. I would get out for any stationary tools, like the fan, radios, etc

Not complaining about this deal, but I recently purchased 2 18 volt 8 Ah batteries from TEMU for less than $35. Have been using them on a deck build and have to say that they are working great. I estimate they are more like 6 Ah lifespan but for the price I paid I am happy with their performance in the drill and driver.

I thought if you buy batteries by themselves, they only come with 3 year warranty? If part of toolset, they come with lifetime warranty.

Max Output EXP are
Ridgid's tabless 21700 batteries. They do a really crap job explaining the differences between their battery types. I just think the overlap between people willing to buy a 12ah tabless battery at full price and people who buy Ridgid tools is very low so they don't sell well at all.
I just went to store and bought the battery, and it's HUGE and heavy too. Doesn't fit into small shopvac. Not complaining really, just saying why it may be wrong choice for some. Hand tools become much heavier with this battery.

This policy changed a few years ago. Now all batteries sold separately are also eligible for LSA.

Incorrect. This product does not have a lifetime warranty.

It does qualify for their "Lifetime Service Agreement", which is wildly different than a warranty from a practical and legal perspective.

I was just trying to justify similar, but then I remembered that a 50amp lifepo4 battery can be as cheap as $70. Sure, no LSA, but still a couple thousand charging cycles, almost 4x the capacity, and no step down to deal with (in my experience, the stepdowns don't last that long). So while I'd love to have a huge-ass Ridgid battery, common sense prevailed (for tonight, anyway).
thanks for putting this out there. as i was going through the comments thinking i kinda want this, but don't need this, but it is a good deal and my fan would run forever...i forgot i had some common sense.
