This is very tempting, the new ipadOS adds a lot of desktop-like features and UI improvements but it just makes the artificial limits much more apparent, especially now that we have MacBooks with the lower spec iPhone chips running full OSX with no issues

I'll still consider replacing my brydge case since it has Bluetooth lag and no pass through charging. but just keep in mind the 6th gen and lower iPads are very top heavy and the apple style keyboards are meant for desktop use, not your lap.
It's a night and day difference compared to a Brydge case. The build quality is superb and being able to charge it on the case is a nice addition

The price seems to be $174.50.
That is correct. The price section on the posting section here only accepts whole numbers so though I entered $174.5, it rounded off to $175

If this is the legit Apple Magic Keyboard, $175 is a steal. Usually stays around $250+.
It is a legit brand new Apple Keyboard. Got mine delivered yesterday and made sure to post the deal only after unboxing and verifying it

ive been using mine for years, and fwiw have really enjoyed its use as someone who uses their old 12.9" ipad pro as a laptop.

my only real gripe with it is there isnt a way to secure an apple pencil when its magnetized to the side. it can be a little annoying having it come off in the laptop sleeve of my backpack, but its far from a dealbreaker for my continued daily use of it.
I agree. The pencil makes it awkward because it sits right where you actually open up the case and almost instantly slides off when you try to open the case. I'm considering getting one of those pencil holders that stick to the case on the back.

Yes. Mine is an iPad Air M3 13". The camera cut out is bigger to fit the Pro's cameras but dimensionally, it is a perfect fit.

It's sick that these cost so much and that this is a good price. But it is!
I have an ESR Rebound 360 Keyboard Case that I'm upgrading from. That is so much better than the Apple Magic Keyboard in terms of features but it is way too bulky and heavy for my liking.
Since the ESR Keyboard has its own battery, it is both a pro (doesn't drain iPad battery unlike the Apple one) & con (weight and thickness).

I had never heard of the Brydge Case until I read your comment. Seems pretty cool and makes it look like a MacBook. Not sure if it is heavier than the Apple Case.
Also, I have used the Apple Keyboard on my lap briefly since I got it yesterday and it seems absolutely fine and stable on the lap. Mine is an M3 Air 13" though, not a 12.9" Pro. Not sure if the weight distribution is significantly different between the newer Air vs older Pros

does this work for m4?
M4 Air or M4 Pro?
It definitely doesn't work with the iPad Pro M4.
iPad Air M4 and iPad Air M3 are identical in design and my best guess is it that it should work with the M4 Air!

Note: I had my order canceled 3 times. This was a few hours after getting the order confirmation. Did a quick search online and I found that a lot of people have had issues with AT&T orders being cancelled due to "security concerns".
Try with a different credit card if they cancel your order. I tried with my Amex twice and once with wife's Amex, canceled all 3 times. Used a different Visa card and the order shipped.
When my order was cancelled initially, I did chat with the support agent, I was told that visiting an AT&T store and placing the order there will make sure the order goes through.

I was able to snag this at $79 from Walmart last year for iPad Air 13 inch M3. Works perfectly. It's much better than current model for iPad Air as this one has backlight!
