Your stick moved 25% further. This blower claims 31.9% more power than your old one. Given a lot of uncontrolled variables in your experiment, it seems to me like a pretty good outcome.

I had a 6 year old 580cfm model and picked this up yesterday. After testing both this new 765cfm model barely feels anymore powerful. Like maybe 5% TOPS. I put a stick in the middle of the drive way blew it as far as possible with the 580CFM and then using the 765cfm the still moved literally a 1/4 farther.

Also keep in mind there is a difference between CFM and air velocity in mph. the 765 cfm could be using a wider nozzle thus the mph may be similar. But it can move more volume of leaves than the 580 cfm model.

Did you use the tapered nozzle with your 765? It increases the force significantly, I just keep it attached all the time.

How is Ego stuff? Im possibly looking to replace my dead weed eater with a battery powered one. Not sure if Ego is the way to go or some other brand.

They're generally considered top of the line for battery powered tools, and way more than enough for small homes. Medium homes might run out of power depending on the tool and how much you're doing, but the more power hungry ones usually come with a bigger battery.
For a string trimmer, you want the 2.5 Ah battery because the trimmer doesn't use much power and the small one is less weight to carry around. Unless you have a large property, the small one should be fine.

Some deals here on SD: https://slickdeals.net/f/19405116-ego-power-line-iq-with-powerload-st1623t-16-in-56-v-string-trimmer-kit-w-2-batteries-charger-329?p=183659397#post183659397 (and also see my comment there for more options)

This is a YMMV deal or it's dead. Full price in my area, even though they have some in stock.
