I don't remember the Ego model I tried out but if you are newish to string trimmers, and are just using one on a "normal" yard, lighter is better. The Ego was too heavy for my old bod. Went back to my corded cheapo B+D.

I just got this model from Lowe's and I didn't find it heavy at all, even using the 4.0ah. it has a carbon fiber shaft. Granted, I am not so old at 31.

... and by the time you are my age, your drones will tend to the weedy spots that aren't covered in height limited GMO grass. But, like me, you'll find other stuff to grump at. :-)

I saw review of the IQ line. Some people didn't like it because it was slow at making the line longer and usually didn't make it long enough to their preference. Anyone care to comment on their experience with it?
