His point is valid. Once you get i to several mounting and cabling adds up really quick and the TCO is lower and simpler with fewer, larger panels (unless you need only 1)

I use a single 100w for a solar camera system and a 100ah battery. 🤷 ♂️

All depends on what you need. I'm fully off grid and my main system for years was just two 100 watt panels that are similar to this. I have 4 200 watt portable panels that I also use now though. These 100 watters are good for throwing on something like a shed or a simple van/ cargo trailer to camper build.

Sorry I'm new to this, is there a link that can explain how one can begin this journey of buying a bunch of these and using it as a back up energy source, I'm in the middle of no where Michigan and it loses power all the time and it would be great to use something like this with a battery to potentially use less energy from the grid

The key is to get a charge controller and inverter as well. They used to come I. 2 separate pieces but now they are combined into 1. Plus you'll need cabling, breakers/shutoffs, outlets/recepticles. And most likely batteries. Will Prowse does a good job explaining stuff like this and has suggested builds like this hand truck:https://www.mobile-solarpower.com...ystem.html
