Shame it doesn't come with a battery at this price. I'd probably get a new corded one for $15 more being that it's off-season and I'm not in the Ryobi battery system. Decent price if you are, though.

Yes, Ryobi is a good brand for most homeowners as they're fairly priced, but the build quality is good.

I would not buy this again. It's really difficult to clear a sidewalk for example, it just throws the snow in front until it's piled too high. Sweeping with this thing side to side does work, but then a regular shovel is lighter. Search for a snow shovel with a directional chute, it's the only way this thing would make sense.

The real deal here is their 40% off everything sale. 12AH 40V battery for $200, for example... Caveat that many items are in store pickup only.

Watching videos I was thinking the same thing, not sure why they don't have some kind of angle on the thrown snow. I have a long driveway (400' feet), obviously I wasn't planning on clearing the entire thing just making a narrow path so I could check the mail (and perhaps do some 'relief cuts' so perhaps the slow melts faster in the sun) however I am not sure this will work very well for the path portion. For a shorter area someone might be able to clear diagonally?

Rant aside, I might still order. Wish there was cheaper angle 18V angle grinder available for shipping.

I have this and agree it would be much better if it threw the snow at an angle. But it's also easier to pull this out for some light snow than it is to shovel the entire driveway.
A big irk for me with this is the stupid safety button. I disassembled the handle and took the spring out. Now I don't have to battle the stupid button to get it to run.

Good price though.

This is perfect for a small property. At this price it's a steal. Save your back.

I have this and like it. My expectations were super low. I have no room for a large snowblower. This isn't great but it was good enough for me.

There are adapters available on eBay. I run my Ryobi tools on Dewalt batteries.

For light snow I just use 40v leaf blowers.
