I was looking into this when I saw it on Woot previously.

According to what I read, the e stands for enterprise because it's made for corporate type of settings where it can be controlled through group policy and things like that.

One of the requirements to be skype, or one of those applications certified, is that the microphone has to be disabled by default.

And you have to use the Logitech software to enable it.

The issue is that the Logitech software is Windows only. So you need to connect it to a Windows machine that has the Logitech software to enable it. And afterwards it should work on other platforms:

It's not a dealbreaker for me or anything and I'd still consider getting it. But just a heads up if you run into this issue.

The software is actually Logi Tune. It downloadable for both Mac and Windows. Reference: https://prosupport.logi.com/hc/no...s-on-C920e

I bought and cancelled because I've read about numerous reports on the failure of auto focus on the C920e. The fix was to disable autofocus. But then, what's the point? There's also a 3 year warranty coverage by Logitech, so even though you don't want autofocus to fail, you want it to fail in time within the 3 year warranty coverage.

Confirmed, this is my everyday webcam for work. Great quality webcam, but does not have Windows Hello capability, unfortunately...which would be really nice.
Thank you, was looking at it for this. Want a cheap upgrade mainly for windows hello as I need to log into my pc constantly throughout the day
