I'm sure that this is a decent vac and the price seems reasonable if you need one that can also blow. You should wear hearing protection when using this vac.
However, I just bought the 12 gallon Dewalt Stealthsonic from the costco deal. At $75, that was a GREAT deal. It's incredible how quiet the vac is and it does suck quite well. No need for hearing protection when in use.
The take away: get the Stealthsonic vac when it's on sale.
Just got my Costco Stealthsonic. I think it's going back. Yes, it's shockingly quiet. The rest of the design is stupid. Their solution to accessory storage is a diaper bag that hangs off it. Hose storage is a worthless rubber strap. The filter is some proprietary over complicated design that already had a plastic retainer break off. The vac in this deal seems to have the same drawbacks with no benefit. I'm keeping my Vacmaster Pro Beast. It's not deafeningly loud and stores accessories and hoses attached to the body along with being more compact.

Absolutely. The noise from these normal shop vacuums really limits when and where they can be used. The stealth sonic one is quieter than a normal house vacuum. My dog isn't even afraid of it.
