Reviews mention it's not waterproof, not even resistant

$12 for a medium sized cat is pretty decent. Can't say it's slick for some fabric and plastic though

Too bad it should be waterproof if using it outside.

I got the medium last deal. Decent. I put it inside one of those cheap greenhouses.

Is this okay for an indoor cat if I add a little blanket inside?

i've gotten pretty much some version of every cat house on Amazon through Vine, and have bought more and worked with supplies through alibaba to design houses at various price points (give away and sell cheaply in the winter to help poor people ferals). For the price, this is decent because it has the reflective-ish lining, and the corrugated plastic in the floor at least is a plus.. Super light, but decent enough for a garage, shed, covered porch, things like that. Cheap enough to spray with waterproof spray and put in safe areas for feral cats. The clear plastic door need to be trimmed a bit sometimes. When buying in bulk you can get something a bit better for a few bucks more, but then like I said you're buying in bulk and waiting weeks. For $13 this is probably not bad, so long as you recognize the limitations (wind, being on the ground, fairly flimsy). But despite having a million 'better' options available for her, we do have one cat at my mom's who will only stay in a house like this on a shelf in the garage.

Given your experience, what's your "bang for your buck" recommendation?
