Not at all, I pretty much fly it freely then upload the footage I like from the app later. I would definitely go for the fly more combo though as the batteries only last about 10-15mims each.

The mini 3 does offer better photo/video capabilities as well as longer flight times. That is probably better option, then snag some batteries n a deal later if possible. Also note that neither of these drone have a follow me feature, which was kind of a bummer at first.

Just played with this for the first time this am. Its fun, I feel super anxious to not fly it into a tree but it was cool for the price. One thing I will say, the joysticks are under the damn controller...felt very foolish having to goolge that :p
