Not really 4k, though that's to be expected for the price. The sensor (looks like GC4663) records at 2560x1440, which is stretched to 4k. You'll probably get clearer video if you record at 2.5k and bypass the stretch.

About this item claims it records at 3840×2160 with the front cam and regular 1080p with the other two.. Is that not accurate? If not, that's misleading. I asked RUFUS what does it record at. this was the answer
The LINGDU V630 Dash Cam records at:
•Front camera: 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160)
•Interior cabin camera: 1080p Full HD (1920 × 1080)
•Rear camera: 1080p Full HD (1920 × 1080)

It technically is writing a 4k file, but it's basically applying digital zoom to get there.

This is like watching a 1080p video on a 4k TV, there's some upscaling happening in between. It's taking a 2.5k source from the image sensor and artificially stretching it into a 4k file. There are very few true 4k sensors, like the Sony Starvis 2 IMX678, and you won't find those in a budget camera. Even many of the "4k" Starvis cameras use the cheaper and lower-resolution IMX675. If you take one of its "4k" files and try to read a license plate, for example, the stretching process will distort letters that might actually be readable at the lower-but-native 2K or 2.5K resolution.
