I now own about eight of these sets and have turned many people onto them.
I'm a professional mechanic so they get used daily... why do I own so many sets, you ask? So that I'm not scattering them all over the place. They're in my truck, in my shop, in my garage, in my car and I have spare sets to replenish any pieces that might get lost.
I beat the crap out of these things with my Milwaukee 1600lb/ft impact (including the universal joint) and haven't had anything fail me yet.
All in I own the eight sets for LESS than one incomplete "master mechanic" set from the big names... so what if the ratchet won't hold up (mine haven't had a problem yet after running them over, dropping them and even using them as a hammer) just invest in a quality 1/2 ratchet... these sets at this price are no-brainers... buy them.

I bought this set last month for like $39 delivered. It came via a oddball delivery service, but it went well and documented (tracking).

In that thread a month ago, Some one mentioned it was not going to be something you carry around in its case because, it is heavy.. Mine is 32 pounds. Sockets are lightly oiled to prevent rust and are quite thick walled. It is most suitable for dry use, and huge clearances. If it is stored in a wet or humid basement, the set will rust quite easily. If you are using and storing them indoors in a climate controlled shop, it should be good. The included 1/2 inch rachet is also lightly oiled, so I would add the be carefull caviot twice about the car kit idea.. A rusted ratchet head makes the whole kit useless..

BTW, it came from a USA logistic point so it came with in 5-7 days as I recall. I hate this seller but at this price I gave it a whirl for a tool kit at moms house.. I have had issues with the seller with my first order using a verry good coupon, go figure..

It is easy to go hog wild with teamoo and alibi express.. Dont do it..

I've gotten pushback elsewhere for pointing out that cheap sets like these aren't real impacts (they're Chrome Vanadium, Cr-V, like regular shiny sockets, harder but less tough than Chrome Molybdenum, Cr-Mo). And they'll probably work fine for home gamers (I've never broken any).

But the messy fake-impact coating and easier rusting is a good argument for just buying a set of standard chrome sockets from Harbor Freight, which aren't messy and won't rust, then use the lifetime warranty if you ever do break one.

I appreciate you brother - I am now up to five sets of them and I was bashful about sharing that! I totally agree they work great with high impact drivers. These are a really good deal and helpful to have extra's around. thanks for your input.

I have 2 sets of these and have tortured them without a single failure. Ive used them while jumping in the end of breaker bars and with a 6' cheater bar, driven them well 1400 ft lbs torque and they still show minimal wear. Plenty of youtube videos where people tortured them far above what I just described. The ratchet also stands up to extreme abuse for a tool its size.

It's even cheaper now, eh? Wow do they make anything on this set? Even with slave labor, there's materials, packaging, shipping, warehousing, etc.

Best cheap set you can get. Sure it's not the proper metal, sure they aren't the best but at this price and if you need a beater set for a job or two its a no brainer. I mean even with the nice quinn set at harbor freight on coupon that sells out pretty much instantly you are still paying 100 bucks which is 2.5x the cost and the quinn doesn't come with any ratchets. China really is crazy how they can make something like this and sell it for 40 bucks and still make money. Something this heavy you would think even just shipping it would remove any profit to be had.

Proper impact sockets have a hardness rating around 35. These will shatter when used with an air tool. You need a little flexibility in the metal to avoid shattering. Just know that going in and wear eye protection.

I bought these last time the deal popped up. Avoid opening indoors right away, these things have the worst "Chinese factory" smell I've ever encountered. Had to let them off-gas in my garage with the windows open for several days.
