I have this model's forerunner. It's mostly plastic, but that means it's easy to manhandle around my small, hilly patch of weeds without power assist--it's actually easier to simply lift and carry it across landscaping obstacles than it is to walk it around them--and I don't have to worry about it rusting. Handle has two joints to fold for winter storage. The cut width is smaller than most mowers, but its compactness is worth the tradeoff.

my neighbor bought this after seeing my 80V greenworks mower. He doesn't understand why his doesn't perform anywhere near as well.

How is this compared to a Scott's reel mower in terms of level of effort for a small backyard? I have a small budget and was going to get a reel mower.

what would the return policy be on this if used for and found as too weak/small?

I own the 80v version of this. At 24v this is a very small and not very powerful mower. If you have a good size yard, this isn't the lawnmower that you're looking for. However, if you have a small garden home or townhouse with a small yard then this is honestly a great deal.

Just remember: The right tool for the right job.

The Greenworks 24v 5.0a battery by itself sells for $139.95 on Amazon.
Another way to look at this deal:

If you own a bunch of 24v Greenworks tools and actually need a big and heavy 5 amp battery, then this deal will net you both a battery and an extra hi capacity fast charger for $10 less than the cost of the battery alone, plus you'll get a free lawnmower tossed in as a bonus!

Look: If you have a more normal sized half or three quarter acre suburban lawn and are going to cut your lawn multiple times per week so the grass doesn't get very high, and you don't cut it when it's wet, then the lawnmower will work for you too.

I love greenworks 80V line but I have a hard time believe a 24v mower is good idea.

I wanted to get this for doing jobs in small yards/lots. Can it handle overgrown grass or thick weeds if i move slowly? I'm deciding between this and the Ryobi. Also i heard for both the blades may need to be replaced often

Unless you want to make a lot of back and forth movements over the same area with the reel mover i would stay away from them. Its a full body workout with one of those bad boys.

If the batteries are for 24v 60v mowers, etc, can those batteries be used for the 80v line?
