How's the build quality compare to the pro model? I know there's spec differences.

My Pixel 10 Pro started rattling this morning, so I'm not sure about the comparison. It's the first Pixel hardware issue I've had, and I've had 8 different models in the past.

Care to elaborate on "rattling"?

All recent Pixels rattle due to the camera I believe. My previous pixel 8, and pixel 9 xl pro both rattle as well

A rattling noise from your Pixel 10 Pro XL is normal and caused by the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in the camera module, particularly the telephoto lens. The lens is designed to float on magnets and springs to stabilize photos, causing a clicking sound when shaken, especially when the camera is not active.

I bought this phone for $288 a few months ago from Best buy. The condition stated that it was in excellent condition but when I opened the box it was brand new. How is this a good deal when you can get an open box for almost half the price?

If it is anything like the Pixel 9, it should be a good phone. Lucked out last year. Free unlocked P9 with iPhone 12 trade in from Best Buy. Had an old work iP12 that I was not using. Been a good phone for almost a year now. Great photos. Same this year, had an old work iP13 sitting around. Traded into Google for a P10a. With trade, the phone along with Pixel Buds came out to $94. Nice base phone. Nicer than the new iPhone 16e or 17e. Not as nice as Samsung S25fe. But a good deal. I know, people complain about the "a" models having their batteries throttled down after so many full charges. Not worried about that especially if you understand full charge cycles. Not a heavy user so that will be years for me before that happens and the overall end of service is 7 years in the future. Good for $94. I have seen much better deals though on the P10. Keep an eye out.

My pixel 7 pro and every phone I ever had that had OIS rattled. It's almost always the sensor moving around trying to counter the movements.
