The M18 Fuel Hackzall can usually be had for $99 and is so much better than this and the M12 Fuel version.

I have this as part of the 5-pc Milwaukee automotive set (usually around Father's Day).
I give it 4*.
It works well for automotive uses...cutting exhaust pipe.
Probably works well for cutting PVC tubes, thin metal (nails).
This is not useful for yardwork. I tried it for some branches, and it did not work well.

Meh, it's been $50-55 several times on woot and other sites. It's over a decade old and not a strong tool, you can find the fuel version for $100 and is well worth it.

I had the same experience. The fuel one rips though.

Mine is predominantly used for pruning, and it's great for it. I'll also use it to cut down nails and screws on rare occasions. For bigger jobs, I use my M18 Fuel. I don't rely on the M12 tools for heavy work.

Thanks for all the comments. I am not interested in a weak tool, even for a good price.

It's interesting that the majority of comments are negative, but this post went front-page pretty fast.
