Was $29 after a coupon on johomashop about a month ago. It's also supposed to be challenging to wear as it's heavy on rose but if they missed the last deal than they might want this one. There is a 30% off if you subscribe that would get it down to $28.

These dupes need to be close to $20 to be considered deal 😅
These dupes started thinking they invented the original fragrance and started getting a little cocky with their pricing!
I remember after Club De Nuit got popular, Armad released another round of dupes (baccarat rouge, Bleu de chanel) and was charging something like $100 for them, others are just cutting the bottles sizes down to 1.7 oz and charging more than they used to for a 3.4.

agreed, but unfortunately people are completely fine paying $30-40. its the norm for newer frags unfortunately. paris corner/french ave is charging $50+...........

Organic chemistry allows them to match about any scent extremely accurately (with AI they will get it perfect I'm sure) and using petroleum as their base material, it's extremely inexpensive to make and make exactly every batch the same. These aren't crafted fragrances, they are made using a computer and organic chemistry. The hideous bottles are just an added bonus.

I agree, dupes are getting expensive, sometimes I find them much better than the originals.
On the other hand, no one is talking about the originals; they are getting not only expensive but ridiculously expensive. I mean, they are also reducing the bottle size to 1.7oz and 1.8oz and charging $175- $200 and for a 3.4oz bottle, $240 to $300.
The originals are also similar chemicals, not something coming from 4000 meters below earth or from heaven.

No dupe is perfect, because all the originals use patented aromachemicals (captive). Dupes can use GCMS testing to get the ingredients but they still gotta cook it and a lot of times legally can't use all the ingredients either so they have to use the off the shelf aromachemical option, at least until the patent for that specific aromachemical (captive) expires. Also Designers like Chanel have their own aromachemicals labs and patents, their own farming for the extracts (while dupes use an oil made with chemicals to mimic the extract) That's why a lot of times something just smells off with a lot of dupes in side by side testing.
Niche houses like Amouge post their extraction processes on their socials, it's really amazing what goes into their fragrances. Now if it is worth it is another thing, but people that say dupes are the exact same are only duping themselves. And this is coming from someone who likes dupes generally (I'll buy a dupe first and wear it and see if I love the scent profile, and if I do I'll buy the real one) and has over 100 bottles of fragrance in the collection.

No one is talking about the originals? Not sure where you get that. And there are numerous scents that are no where near the prices you are mentioning. And many that are in the range that these dupes are charging. And if you are astute, you can get really nice designers for significant discounts. I have about 10 Tom Fords that I haven't spent more than $100 on. I just got 100ml of Costa Azzura Parfum directly from Tom Ford for $100. There isn't any excuse to buy dupes.

Never smelled that but 8.6 is pretty high.
A bit expensive though for a dupe.
