Lowest ever on CCC next closest was $7.60 in 2024. Cool concept.

Agreed. The noise when trying to pull the door loose is bad.

Just an FYI: The magnets in these aren't strong enough to overcome the auto close hinge commonly found on garage access doors.

I had a use case that couldn't support the usual kick down hold open, so that was a bit of a bummer.

Strangely enough, I've been using similar (just not this brand) door stoppers and it has been working fine in the garage access door setting. The older models (over 5 years ago) had weak magnets, but the newer ones have very strong magnets and can sometimes be hard to even disengage. The main thing is getting the alignment right when installing. If it's not centered, the magnets will not engage properly.

Got these. For lighter doors where the magnet may be too strong, put 1-2 small pieces of clear tape over the area where magnets touch and it will decrease the pull of the magnet.

I have these all over my house. I never thought about mounting them vertically. This will help with a closet door that slaps you in the butt when opened.

I have this. Magnets are too strong for drywall.
