I'm no brandname shill, but keep in mind that cheap network hardware has cheap components inside. I picked up a VIMIN 2.5gb switch that developed coil whine and started crashing my network every few minutes within a year of owning it. I cracked it open and found 3 bulging caps ๐ FWIW I now own this model trendnet and it's been fine; I haven't even thought about it, which is really all I want out of my networking gear
