I have a few older trendnet switches and theyve been fine. Curious how this one compares to all the less expensive but similar looking switches on amzn? https://a.co/d/3nSNgbr

Have had bad experiences with TrendNET products in the past: running very hot and failing after only a year's use. Steered clear for past few years.

They're nearly the same internal components with a different shell / brand / stickers.

Trendnet likely has a slightly better support channel, but functionally they're all the same.

I have many of the Terow and NicGiga units installed in multiple places for years now with no notable concerns.

$45 for basically the same switch, but adding 65W PoE+ from Terow: https://a.co/d/5xJXNxQ

I've been running this one for 1.5 years with no issues. Mine is super light and feels cheap but has been fine. Runs cool, at the full 2.5 gigabit (never used the 10 gig channels) and I've never had to reboot it or anything.

The link you have looks nicer (and smaller) than mine, plus it is rated even better, so I'd think it'll probably be fine.
