The only sig difference is going to be the 300's vs 100's. 300's will give you true atmos since they have upfiring speakers where 100's do not.I have 100's as rears and am happy with them.As sub3 vs sub4 is essentially no difference and arc vs ultra difference is relatively minor.Save the grand and get the refurb deal, I don't think you would be upset. And, if 300's go on sale you could add them and then move the 100's as fronts or somewhere else in your house, but I wouldn't say that's a necessary upgrade.

I have a bose set up in my bedroom. In my iving room, I have the sonos arc, subwoofer 3 and 2 - ERA 100's and the sonos blows the bose out big time.

I would like to upgrade to the ultra and 300's...but $2K is a bit spendy for me. I think I had like $1299 on this current setup?

i've not heard the samsung so I can't compare.

For those who think Sonos is overpriced and that Samsungs are better at a lower price, go for the cheaper brands all day. Save the $1000 dollars because sound probably doesn't matter that much. Or go with a Bose system, with Bose you get brand recognition, good sound and a lower price. For those of you who really care about good sound and features, Sonos systems are totally worth it. They are a premium product with solid reliable performance. Other systems don't compare in my opinion. I have my entire house running on Sonos (amps, subs, ones, bars) and the sound and experience is amazing. You can walk into any room and even the backyard and the music is refined, and seamlessly in sync. Sonos is also native to IOS and makes it easy to push sound from your phone to individual speakers or the entire house via WiFi. Most systems use Bluetooth which means you have to be within range and the quality of sound isn't as good. Also, the subs are amazing. Lastly, they are very easy to use, I've installed Sonos systems for people who aren't high tech and they love it. Also, my kids run the system with no problems.

sonos is more expensive. but i think you get better design, better ecosystem, ability to upgrade, and pretty good usability. tuning for your room really makes a difference. samsung is great for just 1 system but the ecosystem flat out sucks and reliability sucks too. but that is just me

Even with the deal this price is too much, I wish they sell this kind of set at Costco and $1500 would be a reasonable price for it if they want more people to buy it.
