The only sig difference is going to be the 300's vs 100's. 300's will give you true atmos since they have upfiring speakers where 100's do not.I have 100's as rears and am happy with them.As sub3 vs sub4 is essentially no difference and arc vs ultra difference is relatively minor.Save the grand and get the refurb deal, I don't think you would be upset. And, if 300's go on sale you could add them and then move the 100's as fronts or somewhere else in your house, but I wouldn't say that's a necessary upgrade.

FWIW I appreciate the atmosphere effects from the 300s, although it's somewhat difficult to find media that supports it. Getting better over time.
