Was looking at the potato, but don't know why corn syrup would be the third ingredient in a creamy potato soup... I've made a lot of soups from scratch and never had to add sweeteners, much less high amounts corn syrup.

What I find interesting about this chili is that while it has no meat, it's not a vegetarian chili. They add beef stock and animal fats. That means half my family won't eat it (but leaves more for me).
