Get one On Us with any trade on any rate plan. Among all the recent gen boring iPhone Samsung and Pixel phones with no unique design or features, this one seem like an interesting backup phone with its attempt of a unique fake E-Ink screen (LCD) with optimized matte screen surface and polarization for eye comfort.
https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-pho...per-70-pro

This won't be for everyone but is an interesting device if you have lines that doesn't have EIP plans considering the promo allows you to trade in broken devices.

Same IP68 water resistance as flagships, the MediaTek 7300 is old but hard to complain at this MSRP for a carrier custom device. At 4xA78 + 4xA55 on TSMC N4, this is still a decently efficient chip for regular use, same CPU design as MediaTek 8200, 8100 just different clock speeds, CPU performance between Tensor G3 and G2 but more efficient thanks to TSMC N4. Oh and it has fingerprint sensor in power button.

Got this on T-Mobile One plan, traded in a cracked broken iPhone 4S. Do it at Sam's Club or Costco to get the extra $75 gift card and waived $35 fee.

* Also forgot to mention another good feature is this thing supports Dual Physical SIM or MicroSD expansion too. Second SIM slot is either SIM2 or MicroSD card. And the phone still supports eSIM as well, but you are limited to two Active SIM simultaneously so either 2 Physical SIM or 1 Physical 1 eSIM.

Someone also brought up T-Mobile satellite, I haven't tried this but T-Mobile website lists it as compatible with satellite messaging? YMMV

Tried out the device at a regular T-Mobile store before buying this at Sam's Club T-Mobile stand for their perks. Definitely worth it with the extra gift card (should work at Costco too) and waived $35 fee if you have extra room for EIPs.

It's a 6.9 inch screen at 207 grams, in comparison Pixel 10 6.3 inch screen at 204 grams. This is not a flagship replacement, just a cost effective phone with somewhat unique features you can get for free if you have lines without EIP plans yet. Decent build quality and surprised to find it even has IP68 water resistance.
Wish they didn't take out the free case and stylus included in the European version though, unfortunate compromise for US carrier partnership probably.

I only know of NXTPAPER as the tech that was portraying itself as being like epaper, but it was actually an LCD with a matte finish.

So definitely less glare than a glossy finish, but just to set expectations (in case anyone else heard that, as well)...

The trade-in promotion seems to be under the same offer as the deal for the moto g - 2025, moto g - 2026, TCL Flip 4 5G, or REVVL 8.
OFFER ID R510
Smartphone Promo with Trade (ID260086)

There does not appear to be a maximum number of devices per account associated with this offer(?).

Good luck!
Jon

Yes as I mentioned this is "fake" e-ink, but it is much better than just a regular matte screen protector. Similar to Samsung Frame TV the matte surface is specifically etched onto the glass surface, and it does actually look pretty good to the eye, unlike the old cheap LCDs. It's also 120Hz. That's why I recommended trying it out in store and that this isn't for everyone.

For eye comfort one big problem with OLEDs are their PWM dimming design especially in low brightness settings, while good modern LCD can avoid that while achieving great color performance.

That's interesting. I do almost all of my phone screen viewing in a low-light setting.

How is the screen for watching video - streaming movies and TV? Or for reading text/articles?

lol I just downloaded mihon on my NXTPAPER Tab 10 and I'm hooked. Definitely a great burner device for this purpose, I would not recommend it for daily use tho. Are you using regular mode or the color paper mode?

You can have multiple EIPs and device promos on the same line at T-Mobile. You just can't have the same promo active on the same line. That said, T-Mobile's new CEO just instituted a limit where a promo is only for two lines per account. It used to be four.

Very tempting offer but to thoes that can wait it out... I would! I have space for one more EIP but I'm going to wait out for a better phone. "Better offers may soon come a calling if there customer CHURN keeps rising". I took a TCL free phone offer on a EIP( any broken phone trade) years ago as a back up phone (TCL 30 XE 2022) from T-Mobile.

That thing Is slow and clunky and mine came with Android version (11)now on (12), they only gave it 2 additional security updates in the second year. At least the cheapest Moto's get more android updates than that. Heck I took a Moto edge (2022) in the same year on a similar EIP free ( after broken phone trade) offer and that at least got up to android 15 update, and a security patch end of last year.

I have Pixel 10 offer on burner line... when I look at it from t-app I see it labeled as "Upgrade with Pay Off"

I have iPhone on my line that has no eip and it is labeled "Upgrade Available "

But you guys are saying it is possible to have multiple EIP (2? 4?) per line? Never knew or did that before , but is that what others have? Wish I knew that I would have a few Pixel 10s laying around the house

You have to add a different phone for trade in on that line.

I was about to mention something similar. 2 promo limit and something about free lines not being able to get the promotion. I have 4 eips ending in about 2-3 months so I might jump on this
