TP-Link's BE11000 mesh system stands out as a cheap way to get WiFi 7, tri band coverage, and four 2.5 Gbps ports per unit, with easy setup, strong app control, and solid performance for many homes. It also works well with older 2.4 and 5 GHz devices and can serve as a Matter controller. The main cautions are that advanced features like parental controls are subscription based, setup is app and account only, and some units run warm or have disconnect and roaming issues. A strong value if you can find it in stock.

Bought one late last year and never opened it. Found out about this deal yesterday. Of course all the stores show either out of stock or limited stock. Attempted to return/rebuy at nearest store that shown out of stock. Clerk was being a jerk and telling the supervisor that they don't do that.

Drove to 2nd Costco (that shows Limited Stock) and in and out in 5 minutes with it re-bought at $99 price. Best customer service ever.
New Costco policy is that for in-store pm they have to have one in stock. I had a price label there for another product but no qty they said it was this policy

Heads up! This can also function as a thread border router to control your matter [over thread] devices!

If I didn't just upgrade my network, I'd pounce on this
This is somewhat wrong info.

The TP-Link Deco BE11000 (often listed as the Deco BE65) serves as a Matter Controller, but it does not currently function as a Thread Border Router. [1, 2]
Smart Home Capabilities
  • Matter Controller: The Deco BE11000 can act as a central hub for Matter-certified devices that connect over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. You can add and manage these devices directly through the TP-Link Deco app.
  • No Built-in Thread: While it supports Matter-over-Wi-Fi, it lacks the radio hardware to create or manage a Thread mesh network.
  • Controlling Thread Devices: To use "Matter-over-Thread" devices (like certain smart sensors or locks) with this router, you will still need a separate Thread Border Router—such as an Apple TV 4K or Nest Hub (2nd Gen)—to bridge them to your network. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Anyone else experiencing issues with their system. I upgraded from the tplink 6E to this, and I have had nothing but constant disconnects and issues (6E system worked flawless). It's extremely frustrating and I'm planning to just return it at this point.

probably too late to help you, but if you had a wifi router that was provided by your internet service provider..this is most likely causing a DNS conflict and constant disconnects..

in the DECO app, you have to change an option to tell the DECO wifi to no try to assign its own DNS address. (and take the one that your other wifi router is providing)

Likewise having major issues with this system. Seems to be a roaming issue between mesh nodes. I can't even walk between rooms 20' down a hall without dropping Teams calls now. I tried enabling Fast Roaming but it didn't help. Also doesn't matter which band I force devices too. Even having WiFi Apple Home light switches drop offline and need to be rebooted which never happened before this system. I'm switching back to my DECO 6E system this weekend. Really disappointed!
