As someone who works closely with septic system installers, there's no such thing as a "flushable" wipe (except most toilet paper). At least if you live in the city, it's the city's problem, but if you have your own septic system, never flush these.

I would need a real plumbers opinion on whether they were "flushable" or not.

Our plumber said anything that is stored wet like wipes are never flushable. Flushable things fall apart when they get wet. If you want to use these in the bathroom, get a tiny trash can and toss them.

We have bidets on our toilets and love them. Pays for itself in toilet paper in no time.

Cottonelle sucks, it leaves residue.

I've tried them all. Best wipes are Huggies natural and CVS natural

yeh i never flush any of these. just throw them in the small trash bin next to the toilet. these are great as a bidet substitute to finish off after a wipe with normal paper

I've used these for over a decade on septic. Never had an issue. If you put one in the bowl and let it sit there and just pee on it, itll disitegrate in the water. They are flushable just fine regardless of what a plumber tells you.

This 💯

A bidet pays for itself in a year or two, and is much cleaner than paper alone.

Wipe a mirror and check the streaks after it dries.

Of course the residue means nothing to you when you've got swamp ass all day

If you're gonna trash them then you should get baby wipes instead, unless you like the occasional finger up your butt (not judging)

I think there is no such thing as "flushable" apply to everything. Even toilet paper, if you use excessive volume, even if toilet paper can disintegrate in water eventually, the excessive amount of it can still clogs.
For this flushable wet wipes, if you have actually tried it and make it very wet, it will start losing its structural integrity and fall apart just like toilet paper. If your house has bad septic system, then probably should throw toilet paper in trash also instead of flashing it. If your house has good enough septic system that can handle decent amount of toilet paper use, then should be fine with this flushable wipes assuming you don't throw away excessive amount at the same time.

So cottonelle wipes start to break down in the packaging the longer they go unused. They start to fall apart when grabbing them. They dont break down as fast as regular toilet paper, but they do.

Cottonelle wipes do actually fall apart. The older they get, the more they disintegrate in your hand or when pulling out of the packaging.
