Prices still too high for a sale. I used to like Cole Haan shoes, but the last few pairs I had gotten felt like the quality significantly dropped off, and admittedly it's not just CH though.

Way too expensive! I got some from Nordstrom rack for about $70 so these prices are a bit crazy for Chinese made shoes that probably have a 60-70% profit margin.

I have bought shoes recently from Camper, Pikolinos, Johnston & Murphy, and Allen Edmonds. They are more expensive but I think they feel a bit better quality. Best recommendation is to go to the store and try them on, feel them and decide. Most of these companies outsource their products to China now, at least some models. I will say, that I bought a pair of Jousen shoes from Amazon a few years ago, and I wore them quite often as they were surprisingly comfortable and lasted pretty long.
