These units are better than you expect. I have mine mounted to a vertical surface with that normal plastic texture. The suction is strong enough that it grips and never falls out. Even with LA potholes.

I haven't seen any built in to Android phones, but you can get Magsafe cases that work well. I've been using one on my S23 Ultra for a few years along with the vent-mount version of this mount/charger and it works great.

I got the Lisen magsafe car charger last Summer. It has the adhesive base (not suction) and both the charger and the phone stay put. Seriously. My iPhone 17 hasn't come loose from the magnets or even shifts positions, even when going over a big bump. I have 2 Lisen charging products and they are both solid. If you're going to get this one, make sure you have a smooth, flat surface that the suction cup will adhere to.

They don't use the term "magsafe," but the Pixel 10 series (except the 10a) supports "qi2."

The qi2 standard specifies the magnetic coupling in a way that's compatible with "Magsafe" but the claimed charging speed is probably only guaranteed on devices that specifically state they support "qi2" charging.
