This is really an apples or oranges situation. If you have 60 volt tools then yes you need this battery, if not then it's just a massive battery. There's really no performance advantage in 20 volt tools.

For maximum power, yes. For longevity, the 12 Ah holds more energy and will run moderate-draw tools longer.

update: I do see where one is 9ah and the other is 6ah, although I have no clue the difference. Could someone explain please.

Get the 9ah, going to open youre world to 60V tools. Grinders, saws, sawzalls, etc.
