The reviews are pretty bad for this product, don't buy a ton unless you know it works for you (I'm not discounting user error but there are a lot of negative reviews to just discount them as that)

First formula was horrible at leaving stuff on the window or causing buildup at the edge of the wiper area where the wiper stops. Only buy the New Improved Formula which the product picture label shows. It can still leave a little buildup at the wiper edge but not too bad.

I purchased this on an impulse at Walmart a month ago. Prepped my truck's windshield by using a DA polisher and some fine polishing compound to completely strip it down to bare glass. Cleaned thoroughly and did a final wipe wiht CarPro Eraser (IPA based prep-spray used before ceramic coating). Applied the RainX and instantly got streaks and high friction/sticky spots. I've ceramic coated my whole car before so I'm familiar with highspots, leveling, etc.
THIS STUFF IS TERRIBLE. Went in the trash when I got back from my trip. Completely wiped off near the center of the wiper, edges were getting smeary. I'll be sticking to Adam's Graphene Glass Coating. It's probably nothing special, but I've used it on windshields before and on my shower door glass. The shower door glass is still very hydrophobic after a good cleaning with soap and a drill brush to get soap scum off.

How does this compare to using windex then regular rainX? Would be nice to only have to do one application.

NVM--looks like it doesn't work well

I don't know why people don't like this stuff, I am a detailer, use it all the time. What people don't understand is that with any product that has a ceramic, you have to use a secondary dry cloth to level/buff in the product. Yes it takes more time to apply, but on my personal vehicles, I get like 6 months on the windshield and the side windows it's basically permanent

As a detailer, I'm curious to know what you think if this compared to aquapel?

I learned about aquapel a couple decades ago and swear by it.
