See photo of NSF Standard #2 (American National Standard For Food Handling Equipment) marking on the bucket.

Per NSF:

"NSF/ANSI 2-2025 covers the minimum food protection and sanitation requirements for the materials, design, fabrication, construction, and performance of food handling equipment. Such equipment includes bakery, cafeteria, kitchen, and pantry units and other handling and processing equipment like tables and components, counters, tableware, hoods, shelves, and sinks, among others.

Considerations in play here include the smoothness of angles and corners in a food zone, the usage of fasteners, latches, hinges, and the cleanability of various components for sanitation. These concerns, as well as many others, are outlined in the NSF/ANSI 2-2025 standard."

These are great to grow vegetables in. I just bought 20 for $65 from walmart. Now I will get a bunch from Costco for much cheaper!

I'd have ordered two sets if these were food grade. Too bad.

This is a Costco Business Center item.
My regular store carries these so YMMV

I have seen it at regular Costco stores but most of them don't carry it in our area. The business center near Seattle does.

Great lid option...only $13 for green. Makes the bucket great for storing water and air sensitive items. I use these to store brewing grains.
Clever idea but $13 feels like highway robbery.

You guys are rookies. You need to keep the bucket in the car until there is sufficient distraction and then unload them straight into the garage.
This is the way.
